The confidential job requisition functionality cannot be used for multiple positions, and it is not possible to copy via the Copy Job Requisition function.  This process was designed by Workday to be used for positions that are indeed “confidential” in nature and therefore should not exist or be visible until the position is filled. We are using this feature to allow for the option of a  “waiver” of public posting. Which is a little different than the original design intent. This is currently the only way for us to have a non-public job application link available for candidates who are hired with the “waiver of posting”, in place of the quick link functionality that was available in the previous staff recruiting system.  When a confidential job req is created the executive recruiter role approval is required and automatically routed appropriately. This is for Sam to approve the "waiver" request.

Unlike a regular job requisition that creates the position(s) as soon as the requisition is fully approved, this requisition type does not create a position until the candidate completes the recruiting process and is moved to Hire. This means confidential job requisitions can only be used for new positions, we cannot backfill an existing position via a confidential job requisition.

We also cannot use confidential job requisitions for direct hires. This is because the position number is not created until the candidate completes the recruiting process. Confidential job reqs must be posted for the selected candidate to apply and go through the recruiting process. When the Ready for Hire process is completed the system creates the position and triggers the appropriate staffing action task for the candidate depending on if they are an internal candidate or external candidate.
