Procedure/Steps
Procedure/Steps
1. Benefit Partner adds surviving spouse record for an active or retired employee who has an existing record in Workday.
2. Benefits Partner submits a ticket to the solution center notifying Workday Operations that the surviving spouse record has been added
3. Ticket assigned to Core Workday Lead or Workday Operations team member with HR Administrator security role.
6Workday Operations creates the universal id (Penn ID) on the surviving spouse record by changing the last digit of the Penn ID to an “S” and reassigns the solution center ticket to Benefits Partner when completed.
NOTE: The alpha Penn ID means no PennKey. The retiree will have to do enrollment each year by phone on their surviving spouse record. The PennKey remains attached to the retiree or active worker record.
Examples are Roberta Sands and Linda Zhao.
